Do you know why the popular anti-bullying programs have such little success?
It's because they are not based on psychology. The only thing psychological about these programs is that psychologists produce and promote them. In fact, these programs abandon the basic teachings of psychology. Most anti-bully programs are, in reality, law enforcement programs in which the "victims" are innocent and need to be protected and the "bullies" are criminals who need to be apprehended and punished or reformed. But research consistently shows that punishment is a poor way to get people to treat each other better. The popular anti-bullying programs actually weaken kids. They teach kids they should not expect to solve their problems on their own, but need to be protected by school staff and other students. They teach kids how horribly destructive bullying is, giving them the message that they should get upset when anyone does anything to them that they don't like. By supporting victims against bullies, they reward kids for thinking and acting like victims, so they are more likely to be victimized!

Level One: Bullies to Buddies™ Individual Trainer

Program Requirements:
- Experience in counseling, therapy or education.
- Comfort with improvisational acting. The Bullies to Buddies™ techniques all involve role-playing. You do not need to have had professional training as an actor, but ability to role-play is essential for implementing the Bullies to Buddies™ Program. In fact, the more you enjoy role-playing, the more effective you will be!

Level Two: Bullies to Buddies™ Individual and School Trainer
The Level Two training is appropriate for practitioners who work in schools and/or wish to offer trainings to schools on a consulting basis.
What the training program includes
- The program includes everything in the Level One Training (Level Two is not available without Level One)
- Izzy Kalman will prepare you to 1) present at school assemblies and 2) instruct school staff to respond to bullying between students in a way that actually reduces hostilities, so faculty can spend their time being educators rather than policemen. This approach takes much less time than investigating and punishing acts of bullying, so teachers can spend more time on academics.
- Izzy will teach you to instruct school staff how to effectively respond when they are confronted by angry students and parents. You will film yourself using the techniques, and Izzy will review and critique the films to help you achieve mastery.
- Offer your services to individual clients, schools and other organizations. Authorization to advertise your services as a Certified Bullies to Buddies™Individual and School Trainer.
